By default, the Magento 2 allows storing the basic information about the customers in the backend. Sometimes, these basic details about the customers are not enough for your store and you may require to create custom customer attribute in Magento 2.
However, the default configuration in the Magento 2 admin panel does not provide any such function to create ecustom attribute for customers. But, the store owners can create custom customer attributes in Magento 2 programmatically.
