Gianni Infantino, the President of The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has announced that the World Cup U-20 in 2021 will be hosted in Indonesia. Indonesia won the bid, after beating Brazil and Peru to become hosts of the sporting event. 

Tisha Desria, Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) secretary-general expressed her delight. She said that their hard work has paid off, and their presentation was well-received by FIFA. She then also expressed her gratitude to President Joko Widodo, who fully supports PSSI, and also related ministries and regional heads. 

President Joko Widodo have planned 10 stadiums to accommodate the football tournament. They are Gelora Bung Karno (Jakarta), Pakansari (Bogor), Manahan (Solo), I Wayan Dipta (Bali), Mandala Krida (Yogyakarta), Jakabaring (Palembang), Wibawa Mukti (Cikarang), Patriot (Bekasi), Jalak Harupat (Bandung), and Gelora Bung Tomo (Surabaya).
