Transas to supply NTPro 4000 Fishing & Navigational Bridge Simulator for Indonesia
PT MultiIntegra, a Transas Group distributor, has been chosen to supply the company’s Fishing & Navigational Simulator for Pariaman Fishing School & Medan Training Center in Sumatra.
The tender run by the Indonesian Ministry of Marine Affairs & Fisheries invited competitive bids from both the existing supplier and international newcomers to the Indonesian simulator market. The main objective of the simulator project was to adopt the new training requirements for fishing & navigation simulation, in accordance with STCW 95/F and ISPS Code.
The system configuration for the training center comprises a main bridge, with five channel visualization and a second bridge with single channel visualization. Both of the bridges have navigational modules and fishing modules, plus newly-developed Indonesian exercise areas ensuring an even higher quality of training.
The Transas system will be installed and integrated using professional local engineers, proving once again that the Transas product can be a highly flexible, customized and high-tech solution. According to Aloys Sutarto, Director of PT MultiIntegra, it was due to these advantages that Transas successfully secured the project.
In accordance with the Transas service and support policy, a comprehensive training plan has been developed to support a seamless change from the outdated to the new system. This will allow the crew to start the first new training course by March 2006, which will be carried out by the professional instructor from Transas.
