Singapore hones manoeuvre and integrated strike capabilities during Exercise 'Wallaby 2015'

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) is showcasing its ability to conduct large scale manoeuvres and air-land integrated strike operations during its annual 'Wallaby' overseas exercise in Queensland, northeastern Australia, from 25 September to 28 November.

More than 4,000 Singapore Army and Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) personnel - supported by at least 400 combat, logistics, and surveillance platforms - have been deployed in the expansive Shoalwater Bay Training Area during the height of the two-month exercise in mid-October to early November.

Ground combat assets include the army's four ST Kinetics 4x4 Light Strike Vehicle Mk 2 attack vehicles, 49 tracked Bionix infantry fighting vehicles, 19 BAE Systems M113 armoured personnel carriers, as well as 10 Krauss-Maffei Wegmann Leopard 2SG main battle tanks.
