Tuttosport suggest Juventus are offering Wojciech Szczesny to Roma in exchange for Alessandro Florenzi, freeing them up to sign Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Multiple sources have already said that Juve want Donnarumma as a free agent after he walked away from Milan, but need to make room first by selling Szczesny.
That is proving very difficult, as there aren’t many clubs interested at his current salary.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper is also locked down to a contract until June 2024.
According to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, a possible solution would be for Juve to offer Szczesny to Roma – where he already played in 2015-17 on loan from Arsenal – in exchange for versatile full-back Florenzi.
That would solve Roma’s search for a reliable goalkeeper under new coach Jose Mourinho and give Florenzi the opportunity to work with Max Allegri in Turin after his loans at Valencia and PSG.
Above all, shifting Szczesny would then free up the Bianconeri to bring in Donnarumma.
