Literary Appreciation of song of " A thousand Years " by Christina Perri.

Dear friends. I wil try to review of song " A thousand Years " by Christina Perri. Why I chose this song because this song is one of my favourite song 😊

That's what this Christina Perri's A Thousand Years song mainly tells. It is about deep feeling the singer has to someone. The feeling has actually come for a long time. However, she is afraid and doubtful. She is not confident with herself, just like all of us when falling in love. And so she hides the feeling. Consequently, romantic relationship between them has not been built, even though there's possibility that the one she adores actually has similar feeling to her. The song also depicts that after hiding the feeling for long time, one day she saw the boy standing alone. And as usual, her heart beat faster. Yet, different from the other days, that day she decided to revealed anything. She was determined not to lose the moment. "I will not let anything take away" so the line goes. She made up her mind that whatever will happen, she will let the one she loves know what she feels.

Overall , I am very enjoyed in listening this song. This song is very nice , romantic, a beautiful song and depth of feeling is incredible and so rare, I could listen to this song all day and still be amazed by it. The first lyric goes : Heart beats fast and promises , how to be brave, How can i love when I'm afraid to fall? All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow.. One step closer. The main meaning of this lyric represents how the singer is afraid to fall in love, because she is afraid of getting her heart broken after she falls in love. But the lyric saying "All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow" means that she found someone who she really loves. Yeah, I like this part of the lyric. In this lyric reveals when we love someone but we are unable and do not dare to express this very deep feeling. So we feel doubt with that feeling.

In the next lyrics , I found the lyrics that make the listener feel weird with the singer. Because the lyrics are very excessive, and should not be used that is "I have died everyday waiting for you". The lyric symbolizes disappointment because she says "I have died everyday waiting for you." But it says she will love the person she is talking about for a thousand years. Which basically means forever, and she will never stop loving this person. On the words " Every breath, Every hour has come to this " , This lyric means that all the waiting just to see that person is all worth it because it says "Every breath, every hour has come to this." This symbolizes time. but in this lyric is not clear, what does the author mean in the word "come to this"? it should be explained in more detail.

In the next lirics " And all along I believed I would find you, time has brought your heart to me , I have loved you for a thousand years, I'll love you for a thousand more" . The singer here has always believed that she would find her true love once again. This symbolizes hope. Well, my opinion is that, she loves this person so much, and she kind of misses the person, her love is so deep, she's going to love the person for a thousand years and will wait for him for a thousand more years.

So what can we learn? Well, as you may know, on message clearly seen in the lyric is that hiding our feeling, especially admiration and love, to those we love or like much will not result anything but the feeling of tortured. It's much better for us just to tell our feeling to those we adore. It doesn't matter how they would respond. I know if they respond negatively to our opennes, we will badly hurt. But, one thing you should remember, the hurt caused by the opennes of our feeling to someone will last much shorter that the one caused by our decision to hide it form him/her. So, tell me you love me if you really love me.

In Conclusion, this song is very much to be heard and amazed the listener. With all the lyrics that are beautiful, but the contents of the song's lyrics are not good when applied in real life. This song is only to be enjoyed by lovers of romantic songs.
