I am very addicted to this Disney movie. This film is a remake of the original animated film in 1992. It offers a festive performance with fantasy adventures in musical dramas with a lot of jokes. Yes, this film is Aladdin (2019). The film is so loved and being legendary where so many people never be forgotten with the characters of Princess Jasmine, Aladdin and The Genie. The soundtrack of the film that always ringed in the head of "A Whole New World" also makes this film more memorable.

The film, which aired on May 24, 2019, features all the characters in the movie poster with the three main characters most highlighted. They are Princess Jasmine (Naomi Scott), Aladdin (Mena Massaod) and The Genie (Will Smith). Luckily in Indonesia this film aired two days ahead of its screening schedule. The poster is very depicting this film, where there are Aladdin who holds the magic lamp, The Genie with its distinctive blue shades and a golden color atmosphere that shows the luxury and magical feel of the film.

The Aladdin film (2019) directed by Guy Ritchie still maintains the original story of Aladdin as it was released in 1992 which succeeded in making the audience feel nostalgic. But, of course there are some scenes that are distinguished by animation. Ritchie neatly adjusts the concept of this film to be more modern and deserves to be appreciated. He also realized that one of the attractions of Disney princess films are songs and dances, so he collaborated with Alan Menken, composer of Disney songs, to arrange songs with the current style.

The new version of Aladdin's film opens with the scene of 2 small children being told by his father and continued with the song 'Arabian Night' which is quite energetic and makes the audience have high expectations with the film at the beginning.

Next is the scene of Aladdin, played by Mena Massoud who is an Egyptian-blooded actor, is chasing in Agrabah which is very interesting and brings the audience to recognize the city of Agarabah.

Agrabah successfully portrayed very beautifully in this live action film. The place and the atmosphere is quite realistic and doesn't seem tacky. The thick elements of Arabic culture in this film are increasingly attached to the impression of "The Thousand and One Nights".

The excitement of the Agrabah people with its Arabic culture such as dance and clothing is illustrated when Aladdin as Prince Ali proposed to Princess Jasmine. Prince Ali's song in this scene sounds really enjoyable.

Visualization in a treasure cave filled with gold and diamonds made the audience even more excited. The depiction of the character Abu as Aladdin's pet and magic carpet look naturally alive. Similarly, The Genie character played by Will Smith is considered to be very successful in playing his role with his distinctive style. He proves that he is a great actor and can escape from the shadow of the late Robin Williams who played the genie in the previous film.

Meanwhile, the audience is spoiled by the presence of Indian actress Naomi Scott who play as Princess Jasmine. She is very charismatic. In the story, Princess Jasmine is portrayed as someone who fights for her rights as a woman. She is determined to be free from the royal environment which did not allow women to be a queen and refused to have an arranged marriage. Because for her, woman is not only treated as objects. Moreover, she is very angry when Prince Ali proposed her with the words "I will buy you."

The figure of Naomi Scott becomes very iconic in this film. In addition to playing a very great role, she is also very talented in singing. She sang a song called "Speechless" in one scene with very powerful. Through this song Princess Jasmine conveyed her rebellion because she could not freely argue in which her position is a royal princess.

Besides that, there are several points that reduce points on this film. First, the figure of Jafar, played by Marwan Kenzari, feels less cunning, less fierce and his chin is less pointed like the evil character is portrayed. Even the aura of "evil" is less pronounced. Secondly, in some scenes the tone is very dark because of the visual effects that result in a little disruption to enjoy the movie. Like when the scene Prince Ali and Princess Jasmine are riding on the magic carpet.
