Literary Appreciation of song of "I Love You 3000" by Stephanie Poetry

I love the song by Stephanie Poetry entitled "I Love You 3000". The song title which was inspired by the story of the film Avengers-End Game and succeeded made the Avenger lovers curious because the title was the same as Morgan dialogue that delivered to Tony Stark when she wanted to sleep. Many lovers of this film say that this song sounds unique because some parts of the lyrics there are characters in the film. But some listeners are confused because the lyrics contained in this song are actually not the same as the story in the film. This song tells the story of a woman who is happy because she is waiting for her lover to propose. But she accidentally knows a few clues when her boyfriend wants to propose. But she didn’t want to miss the moment and hope she was like in Hollywood films that ended happily.

Although the title is adapted from the dialogue film, the lyrics conveyed are not the same as the story in the film. It can be seen in the first stanza.

Baby, take my hand

I want you to be my husband

'Cause you're my Iron Man

And I love you 3000

Baby, take a chance

'Cause I want this to be something

Straight out of a Hollywood movie

In this stanza can be interpreted as a woman who really hopes her boyfriend will become her husband and mentioned Iron Man as imagery of a hero who can guard of her. The lyrics of "I love you 3000" as if revealing that she really loved her boyfriend as much 3000 times.

On the second stanza is also interesting because it is mentioned Hulk as one of the characters in the film Avenger-End Game. But Hulk in this lyric is only a parable. Where do we know if the Hulk is a freaking out when the situation is depressing. In lines 3 to 6 that she already thought that her boyfriend would give a surprise and find out where her boyfriend put rings for proposed to her.

I see you standing there

In your Hulk outerwear

And all I can think

Is where is the ring

'Cause I know you want to ask

Scared the moment will pass

I can see it in your eyes

Just take me by surprise

On the fourth stanza, her friends told that they knowing the meaning of her boyfriend, but she emphasized that she didn’t want clues because she need a surprise when her boyfriend proposed to her.

And all my friends they tell me they see

You are planning to get on one knee

But I want it to be out of the blue

So make sure I have no clues

When you ask

And at the last stanza, she stated "No spoilers please"several times, because she wants that this moment was to be the best moment that she waiting for, so she wanted to hear it directly and hope no someone that can spoilers.

On the fifth stanza, all that was hoped for was realized. She had answered first even before her boyfriend revealed the words to propose to her.

Now we're having dinner

And baby, you're my winner

I see the way you smile

You're thinking about the aisle

You reach in your pocket

Emotion unlocking

And before you could ask

I answer too fast

I think this song has a self-actualization issue because in the lyrics it's like an expression of a woman's feelings that actually she already knows what moments will happen but she pretends not to know because she is really looking forward to that moment. So when the listener listens to this song, he gets an atmosphere and a sense of happiness because the lyrics contained have the meaning of expressions of love that are so deep. In addition to the title that turned out to be an attraction for others to listen, but the song that was sung could touch the hearts of the listeners.
