Fantastic Beasts : The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)

The untitled Fantastic Beasts sequel is an upcoming fantasy drama film produced by Heyday Films and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. A co-production of the United Kingdom and the United States, it is the sequel to the 2016 film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, based on J. K. Rowling's book of the same name. It will serve as the second film instalment in the Fantastic Beasts series and the tenth overall in J. K. Rowling's Wizarding World, the franchise that began with the Harry Potter series. The plot follows Newt Scamander and Albus Dumbledore as they attempt to take down the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald, as they face new threats in a more divided wizarding world. The film is directed by David Yates, with a script by Rowling, and features an ensemble cast that includes Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Zoë Kravitz, and Callum Turner.

Plot
The year is 1927; a few months have passed since the events of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Gellert Grindelwald has escaped imprisonment as he promised and has begun gathering followers to his cause—elevating wizards above all non-magical beings. The only one capable of putting a stop to him is the wizard he once called his closest friend, Albus Dumbledore. However, Dumbledore will need to seek help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander. The adventure reunites Newt with American friends Tina, Queenie and Jacob, but his mission will test their loyalties as they face new perils in an increasingly dangerous and divided wizarding world.

Ane sebagai fans berat HP dari zaman SD sampe sekarang udah kerja puas banget nonton FB2 ini. Memang kelihatan kalo JKR bikin film FB ini ya memang untuk para fansnya.

Sepanjang film paling seneng liat koneksi/easter egg FB ke HP, kayak silsilah keluarga Lestrange, Nicolas Flamel dengan batu bertuahnya, Dumbledore dan Grindelwald, sampe Nagini juga.

Pas adegan Hogwarts merinding disko denger main theme HP yang begitu memorable. Sayang adegan Hogwarts terbatas cuma 2 scene: interogasi Ministry of Magic thpd Dumbledore dan flashback Newt-Leta.

Sama agak kecewa juga Leta cuma muncul dan mati di film kedua ini. Padahal bisa lebih bagus kalo dia survive dan diperdalam lagi kenapa keluarga Lestrange akhirnya jadi berafiliasi dengan dark wizard. Klo di sini kesannya Lestrange itu keluarga penyihir baik2 deh.

Dan adegan penutupnya itu bikin penasaran banget. Apakah Credence memang benar2 ada hubungan darah dengan keluarga Dumbledore atau itu cuma tipu muslihat Grindelwald biar Credence benci dengan Albus dan akhirnya Grindelwald bisa memanfaatkan Credence untuk menjatuhkan Albus?

Terlepas dari itu semua, pokoknya ane puas banget nonton ini. Skor: 9/10.
