Mengusung layar penuh, membuat Apple menanggalkan tombol home fisik di iPhone X. Untuk menggantikan fungsi tombol home, perusahaan yang berbasis di Cupertino, California, Amerika Serikat itu menghadirkan cara pengoperasian baru.
Untuk melakukan unlock smartphone, pengguna cukup swipe dari bawah layar ke atas. Cara yang sama ditempuh ketika pengguna ingin kembali ke home screen saat membuka aplikasi.

Saat ingin multitasking, pengguna cukup men-swipe dari bawah layar ke atas, lalu tahan sebentar hingga jendela aplikasi terlihat. Geser seperti biasa untuk beralih antar aplikasi.
