End Game Progression Reimagined : The Mastery System

The Mastery system establishes exciting goals to achieve that increase your abilities and powers after level 80, allowing you to overcome greater challenges and creating truly meaningful endgame progression.
Mastery Tiers

Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns will launch with 39 unique endgame Mastery tiers in 7 tracks. The 15 tiers of Central Tyrian Masteries will allow you to progress in Pact Commander Mastery, Legendary Crafting Mastery, and Fractal Attunement Mastery. In the Heart of Maguuma, the 24 initial tiers

Mastering jungle movement will unlock the ability to hang glide to previously unreachable locations. .
The Legendary Journey

The core requirement for crafting a prestigious legendary weapon. In addition to creating your precursor weapon, you'll unlock two entirely new weapon sets added with Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns that come in stages, building up to your precursor.

Have access to a special Mastery track for unlocking precursor crafting.
~ MAP BONUSES
By completing events, jumping puzzles, and minidungeons in a map, you'll periodically be awarded with bonuses in addition to normal rewards.

Maps in Heart of Thorns have epic map wide event moments like Verdant Brink's night time assault that can occur which change all the events and themes in the zone to an entirely new set of content, bosses and goals for players to band together and attempt to overcome.
~OUTPOST : Outposts will function as a central hub for events, guiding you through the maps and providing base camps for your adventuring. You'll need to defend outposts from attacks to retain access to the benefits they provide.
~ ADVENTURES :Try your hand at these adventures in order to earn rewards and compete with your friends and fellow guild members on adventure leaderboards.
