• Accessed in the Summoners' Research Lab within Imperial Capital Randall after you have defeated Cardes the Malevolent in Palmyna.
  
• Trial No. 004 is available until you defeat him.

Tips:

• For 1pt squad you must use Leader reduce damage and bring Mitigator, Anti-stats, and Healer. It will took long battle with 1pt squad. You must have a squad who can survive through Round 1 (Zebra's shot) without any revive used.
  
• For 2pt squad you can use the BB spam squad because in Round 2 there are 3 enemies encounter so BB spam squad works well here. Use 1st squad to go through Round 1 until Zebra below 20% HP and change to 2nd squad so you can spam BB gauge before Round 2.
  
• Trigger your Mitigator frequently in Round 1 and always trigger your Mitigator on Round 2.
  
• Bring Anti-stats units that can cure stats ailments (Lunaris, Exvell, Urukina).

For 1pt squad you can use Leader combination:

ROUND 1
Mad God Zebra

• Susceptible to injury.
  
• Blade of Madness (狂人の刃): Single-target dark elemental attack that inflicts random status ailments.
  
• Soul Divide (ゾウルデイバイド): Powerful AoE dark elemental attack every 3 turns.
  
• Soul Invasion (ソウルインベイション): Powerful AoE dark elemental attack that inflicts curse.

< 50% HP
Deadly End (デツドリーエンド): Massive single-target dark elemental attack.
51,000 damage.

< 25% HP
Deadly End (デツドリーエンド): 2x massive single-target dark element attack.
42,000 damage.
It is recommended to sacrifice your first squad afterwards (around 10% HP), so your second squad will have their gauges full for the next battle.

< 1% HP
Make sure all of your units are at >70-90% HP (guard if they're not), because Cardes, Luther, and Phee attacks as soon as Zebra dies. You may want to trigger your mitigator's BB/SBB.

Tips:

• You may trigger your mitigator BB/SBB in the turn of Soul Divide (ゾウルデイバイド).
  
• Whenever your mitigator is off, make sure all units HP is around 90%, unless def your units HP below 60%.
  
• Zebra curse a lot, so don't forget to bring anti-stats unit.
  
• Angel Idol buff works well here but not a must, so Rashil is good choice of healer if you bring anti-stats unit, unless Altri still best.
  
• For 1pt squad, please be aware of Zebra's Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) since you must make sure none of your unit died at Round 1 to safe your revive for Round 2.
  
• For 2pt squad, you may sacrifice your 1st squad when Zebra already casted 2nd Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) so you can spam BB first before face Cardes, Luther and Phee.

ROUND 2
Defiant God Luther

• Susceptible to paralyze.
  
• Normal attack doesn't hurt bad, but can cast debuff 1-3 times in a turn.
  
• Hey! Don't Hurt Me! (オラ! ぷっ壊れな!): Single-target fire elemental attack that removes buffs.
  
• Fall Maiden Cross (ファルメイドクロス): Single-target fire elemental attack that inflicts weakness.

Tyrant Goddess Phee

• Susceptible to curse.
  
• Normal attack quiet hurt but not in the first turn cast mitigate instead.
  
• Blessing of the Prayer (加護の祈リ): Mitigation buff on everyone.

Cardes the Malevolent

• Susceptible to weakness.
  
• Buffs attack and defense on himself.
  
• Revive Luther & Phee every 6 turns or every 4 turns (see Revive Pattern).
  
• Abyss Wall (アビスウォール): Powerful AoE dark elemental attack every 6 turns.
  
• Dimension (ディメンション): AoE dark elemental attack that inflicts curse.
  
• Deadly End (デツドリーエンド): Massive single-target dark elemental attack every 5 turns (see Deadly End Pattern).

Deadly End Pattern change from 1x hit every 5 turns to 2x hit every 5 turns.

< C (30%)
Deadly End (デツドリーエンド): 3x Massive single-target dark elemental attack and ignore defense.
Trigger your mitigator's BB/SBB.
Guard on remaining units while the 6th unit lowers Cardes below 30% HP.

< 20%
Endless (エンドレス): Massive AoE dark elemental attack.
Trigger your mitigator's BB/SBB.
Guard on remaining units while the 6th unit lowers Cardes below 20% HP.

Tips:

• You MUST trigger your mitigator BB/SBB every turn otherwise guard all unit, use fujin for your mitigator if necessary.
  
• You MUST bring anti-stats unit that can cure because of combination Luther debuff and Cardes curse casted almost each turn.
  
• Kill Luther and Phee as fast as you can because they will give you a lot of trouble especially Luther.
  
• You may bring unit that can cast Paralyze because it works very good on Luther so your unit is safe from debuff.
  
• You may bring elemental buffer unit to kill Luther and Phee faster.
  
• Phee is easy to kill just about 1-2 turns whenever you can use all your SBB units especially with BB spam squad (Exvell is very good here).
  
• Angel Idol buff doesn't work well here because of Luther debuff.
  
• Luther is harder to kill than Phee but with right squad you can kill him around 2-3 turns.
  
• For 1pt squad, please be aware of BB spam of your squad especially your mitigator, anti-stats and healer.
  
• For 2pt squad, you may fight easier especially with BB spam squad but be aware of Cardes Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) because of BB spam squad usually doesn't use reduce damage leader skill.
  
• Cardes has attack pattern but sometimes in the turn that pattern casted it won't actived, just count it as it's active.

Note: I make this guide after analysing Cardes cast. I collect those information from a lot of Trial 04 video (Ushi, Tea, Gaym wiki, etc) and also a lot of detail from Appinvasion under Hyperion admin. I don't guarantee this guide is 100% correct but I think this guide maybe useful for others. Please feel free to correct it whenever it's wrong and I really glad to take suggestion from all of you.


ATTACK PATTERN
(Cardes only, works really well when you use bb spam squad)
Note: Sometimes when the turn it may be active, it's not actived. Just continue the count as it was active. Because sometimes the cast is changed by other cast. But the turn still work.
Begin counting from we face Zebra.
Turn 1: our 1st attack, then 1st zebra attack
Turn 2: our 2nd, zebra 2nd
and so on...

There are 2 important Pattern:

1. Revive Pattern
   
2. Deadly End Pattern

REVIVE PATTERN
Cardes will cast Revive every 6 turns in the begining. But it will be changed to every 4 turns after Cardes reach 55% HP or the 2nd Cardes conversation.
Note:

• Whenever in the turn Cardes cast Revive, Luther and Phee still alive, then it won't be casted. But it still counted as it was casted. Whenever one of them or both of them already died in the turn Revive Pattern, Cardes may cast Revive.
  
• Revive Pattern changed after Cardes reach 55% HP and after the last Revive already casted. If Cardes last Revive happened before HP reach 55% then it still doesn't change. For example: turn 36 when Cardes cast Revive his HP at 60%, so the next Revive cast will trigger at turn 42 eventhough Cardes HP already down to below 55%. BUT if in the turn 36 when Cardes cast revive his HP below 55%, the next Revive cast will trigger at turn 40.

Turn Pattern:

• Revive Pattern A (before 55%) : turn 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54........... so on
  
• Revive Pattern B (after 55%) : ...... X(turn last revive casted when Cardes already below 55%), X+4, X+8, X+12, X+16...... so on (ex: turn 36, 40, 44.... or turn 42, 46, 50....)

DEADLY END PATTERN
Cardes will cast Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) every 5 turns and the interval won't change until finish. But after Cardes reach 45% HP or 3rd Cardes conversation Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) will hit 2x in a turn instead of 1x before.
Note:

• IMPORTANT Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) triggered when Cardes reach certain point (70% HP, 50% HP, 30% HP) is not included in Deadly End Pattern. DON'T COUNT IT as Deadly End Pattern turn. They are separate from Deadly End Pattern. For example when you are in the turn that Deadly End Pattern triggered along with one of those certain point, it will casted together (ex: turn 25 Deadly End Pattern cast happen together with 1st conversation or 70% HP point, Cardes will cast Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) 2 times because one is from Deadly End Pattern and one other from 70% HP point)
  
• Whenever Deadly End Pattern and Cardes HP point came in same turn be aware that they will casted TOGETHER. For example reach 20% HP in turn 40 so Cardes will cast Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) and Endless (エンドレス) together.
  
• Whenever the turn Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) should be triggered, it won't because sometimes Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) change to Abyss Wall (アビスウォール).
  
• After Cardes reach 45% HP sometimes instead of he cast 2x Deadly End (デツドリーエンド), he will cast Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) together with Abyss Wall (アビスウォール).

Turn Pattern:

• Deadly End Pattern: turn 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45........ so on

ABYSS WALL PATTERN*bonus
Cardes will cast Abyss Wall (アビスウォール) every 6 turns but sometimes it has random encountered.
Note:

• IMPORTANT this pattern isn't fix and I found that this pattern kinda confusing.
  
• Abyss Wall (アビスウォール) doesn't hurt bad but still more dangerous than Dimension (ディメンション).
  
• Sometimes substituted with Deadly End (デツドリーエンド) or casted together ini one turn.

Turn Pattern:

• Abyss Wall Pattern:
  turn 3, 9, 15, 21, 27, 33, 39, 45, 51, 57..... so on

  turn 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42.... so on
