Shady Records adalah label perekaman America khusus untuk musik hip hop. Eminem dan managernya Paul Rosenberg membentuk Label ini pada tahun 1999 setelah peluncuran album The Real Slim Shady LP.

Label ini telah merangkul sembilan(9) artis (yang diketahui namun masih banyak lagi yang lain), memperoleh RIAA certification (sertifikasi Asosiasi industri perekaman amerika) platinum atau bahkan lebih dari platinum pada tujuh dari sebelas album yang diluncurkan (oleh label ini). Artis yang dirangkul termasuk D12, 50 Cent, Cashis, Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf, dan Bad Meets Evil. Sedangkan artis yang terdahulu adalah Obie Trice, Stat Quo, dan Bobby Creekwater.

Sejarah
Setelah Eminem meluncurkan The Slim Shady LP, Dia memulai labelnya sendiri di akhir tahun 1999 bersama manajernya, Paul Rosenberg. Eminem mencari cara untuk meluncurkan grup rap berbasis Detroit, D12 (Dirty-dozen), dan Rosenberg sangat ingin memulai label, disinilah mereka memulai kerjasama membentuk Shady Records.

D12 adalah anggota Shady Records yang pertama, karena mereka(D12 member) sudah melakukan Rap sejak tahun 1990-an dan anggotanya membuat janji/sumpah, jika nanti siapapun dari anggota ini berhasil akan kembali dan merangkul anggota yang lain(yang kurang sukses). pada Juni 2001, D12 meluncurkan Devil's Night, dan berhasil memuncaki Billboard 200. Obie Trice diperkenalkan pada eminem oleh Bizarre anggota D12. Eminem Merekrut Obie Trice pada bulan Juni 2001, sebagai langkah kedua Shady Records. Obie Trice mendapat perhatian publi pada penampilannya di album Devil's Night.
