Installation Instructions
Example the installation of the East Java Map

There are three choices of ways, you can use
The first way, using the application SC4Mapper.exe

1. Unzip or Extrack the file
2. Paste the folder EastJava containing the grayscale images and config.bmp to C / my documents / SimCity 4 / region (Readme file & JPG files is unneeded to be included, but if included no effect on the game)
3. Open SC4Mapper.exe
4. Click creaty region> grayscale image>
>>>> On the file name, fill in with the picture EastJava.png from C / my documents / SimCity 4/region/EastJava
>>>> Select config.bmp and fill in the config.bmp from the same place, click ok!
5. Wait a few minutes, so SC4mapper recognize
6. Click save region if there is message "...... replace it 'click ok
7. Open the game, in the region menu, click load region, click EastJava
8. Open newcity one by one to render the city, then save city

Warning: when the city is still adjacent to the city who has not been rendered or has not been saved, do not ever reconcile on the city ! because the game recognize all the cities that have not been rendered as sea

The second way, using SC4Terraformer.exe

1. Unzip / Extrack the file
2. Paste the folder of EastJava containing the grayscale images and config.bmp to C / my documents / SimCity 4/region
3. Open the SC4Terraformer.exe, wait for the intro,
4. Open EastJava folder it will open config.bmp then press ok
5. On global tools, click import image! open EastJava.png.
6. Click ctrl+S then select yes, it will create some cities in the region folder EastJava

note: if you use SC4Terraformer, then in a folder region there will be some PNG pictures and png alpha ex- rendering program, all png files in that folder can be deleted because it is no longer needed (warning!! to be remember! config.bmp don't ever also deleted)
7. Open the game on the region, click the load region, click EastJava
8. Open newcity one by one to render the city, then save city

The third way, manual rendering

1. Unzip / Extrack the file
2. Paste the folder of EastJava containing the grayscale images and config.bmp to C / my documents / SimCity 4/region
3. Open the game on the region, click the load region, click EastJava, it will look flat region (grass all)
4 clicks Ctrl+Alt+Shift+R will open a window blue colors! navigate his address to the folder where the files EastJava grayscale images are, in my documents / SimCity 4/region/EastJava, select the EastJava.PNG (not config.bmp) and press Ok
5.Game will soon render the appropriate of image files! wait! let the game create one by one for each city map! This will take time, depending on spec PC is used, perhaps 15 or 30 minutes to 1 or 2 hours!

Attention:

The advantages and disadvantages of installing the region map, using SC4mapper, SC4Terraformer, and rendering the game manual self

Use SC4mapper

Plus
1. Installation process of map is more faster
2. Can see a preview of map, something like what
3. Render maps can be done per-city so to run it does not necessarily render the entire region, can directly play newcity & save

Minus:
1. Require a program SC4mapper.exe, need a platform dot.net farmwork v 2 and above
2. Must be opened one by one for each city and then save it
3. Uneditable

Use SC4Terraformer

Plus
1. Installation process of map is more faster
2. Can see a preview of map, something like what
3. Render maps can be done per-city so to run it does not necessarily render the entire region, can directly play newcity & save
4. The map is editable like lowered or increased elevation, so between the oceans, coastlines, and mountains can be more balanced

Minus
1. Require a program SC4Terraformer.exe, need a platform dot.net farmwork v 2 and above
2. Must be opened one by one for each city and then save it
3. generate output PNG image and alpha PNG image in the region folders, the former from rendering SC4Terraformer, as many the number of cities according to his config.bmp, all this picture is unneeded anymore so it should be deleted manually

Use rendering the game manual self

Plus
1. All cities in the region as a whole is completed immediately
2. Not require a program or any application

Minus
1. Rendering process takes a long time depending on spec PC is used
2. sometimes there are one or two cities that failed in the render due to backround processes interruptions such as screensavers or other applications. so when it renders, you should turn off any application, including the processes are not needed as a screen saver, including internet activities, such as IM, chat, browsing etc.

Note: The above tutorial applies to the installation of all the other MAP grayscale models!

Region Map my production although was made approach the original map, but still not a category realword SC4 map, because it is still smaller than the real scale
