Genuine BTCC Honda Accord Touring Car - Build #003
Engine:
Honda 2.0 litre DOHC (VTEC removed) 16 Valve, cylinder head reversed with intake plenum now forward facing, custom carbon fibre airbox, 4 custom carbon fibre intake runners and quad throttles, custom extractors and 3-inch straight-through exhaust (only one backbox muffler), forged steel internals, seven fuel pump steup, surge tank, all alloy radiator and oil cooler, MBE (UK) management system, PI systems cabin-mounted data logger, all braided lines, alloy oil/air separator.
Drive Train:
X Trac 6-speed sequential manual gearbox, super-light flywheel, custom twin plate race clutch, X-Trac differential.
Suspension:
Honda factory locating points with bilstein dampers and springs, front strut brace, AP on-board air jacking system, in-cabin adjustable sway bars.
Brakes:
Front: 365mm vented and slotted rotors with twin 4-piston callipers.
Rear: 260mm vented rotors with 4-piston callipers, tilton brake bias with in-cabin control.
Wheels/Tyres:
Selection of 19" race wheels with slick or wet tyres.
Exterior:
Factory Honda body with carbon fibre doors, bonnet, rear wing and front splitter. Re-sprayed to original colours/decals.
Interior:
Mega point roll cage, carbon fibre sculpted door skins, Recaro race seat relocated further back, Momo harnesses, window net, carbon fibre centre console and replacement panels housing all major switchgear and bias controls, computer and data logger mounted on pasengasr floor, fire extinguisher, PI systems digital dash readout, reverse pedal box.
Performance:
Estimated 320bhp (238kw at the flywheel)
History:
1995-1999 BTCC series in UK, 1999-2002 raced in BOC Gases Australian Sport Tourers by Greg Murphy and Steven Richards
