Coldplay adalah band alternative rock yang dibentuk di London, Inggris pada tanggal 16 Januari 1998. Kelompok ini terdiri dari vokalis / pianis / gitaris Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland memimpin gitaris, bassis Guy Berryman, drummer / multi-instrumentalis Will Champion dan - former manager juga directure band - Phil Harvey. Coldplay telah menjual 35 juta album, dan juga dikenal karena single hit mereka seperti "Yellow", ", Speed of Sound", "The Scientist","Fix You", "Viva la Vida" dan pemenang Grammy Award " Clocks".

Coldplay mulai terkenal di seluruh dunia dengan merilis single "Yellow", diikuti dengan album debut mereka, Parachute (2000), yang dinominasikan untuk Mercury Prize.
