Yue is the true form of Yukito. Yue is one the Clow Card guardian created alongside KerBeros by Clow Reed.While Cerberus acts as the elector, choosing a candidate to become the next Master of the Clow, Yue is the judge who will test the candidate. His character however is very different from Yukito as he is colder and unfriendly. He shares a special bond with Clow Reed which makes him hard to accept Sakura as the new master of the Clow Reeds after she won the battle during the Final Judgement. Later, Yue becomes very protective of Sakura. Due to his power of moon and not self-sufficient like KerBeros, Yukito tends to get tired because of Yue's straining powers.
