The Black Phone is an upcoming American horror-thriller film directed by Scott Derrickson, and adapted by Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill from the 2004 short story of the same name by Joe Hill. Produced by Derrickson, Cargill, and Jason Blum from Blumhouse Productions, the film stars Ethan Hawke, Jeremy Davies, James Ransone, and Mason Thames.

The film will be released by Universal Pictures on January 28, 2022.
