Pemerintah berhasil tanda tangani kontrak IMPOR Gas untuk PLN dengan Singapura

Pavilion, Keppel and PLN sign small-scale Indonesia LNG deal
Singapore-based Pavilion Gas and Keppel Offshore & Marine have signed a heads of agreement with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) of Indonesia to deliver small-scale LNG to the western region of the archipelago nation.

The three companies will work together to distribute LNG to remote islands and locations in western Indonesia, using floating and onshore terminals and small-scale LNG carriers. Indonesia will use the gas to generate electricity at PLN power plants that range in size from 25 MW-100 MW.

Indonesia’s president Joko Widodo sees midscale and small-scale LNG as the solution to the country’s growing domestic gas-to-power demand. Ministry of energy forecasts expect Indonesia to more than double its electricity production from 213 tWh in 2013 to 440 tWh by 2022 to meet demand growth of 7-8.5%.

Home to five floating import ventures, four using floating storage and regasification units, Indonesia plans to ramp up its floating import capacity.

Singapore, meanwhile, is positioning itself as a future LNG-supply hub for southeast Asia.

“Pavilion Energy has identified small-scale LNG supply and distribution as a key business area for the company and has built up its capabilities in small-scale LNG supply chain and engineering, to provide a reliable, efficient and cost-effective solution,” says Pavilion chief executive officer Seah Moon Ming.

“…Small-scale LNG enhances Singapore’s role as a regional hub for LNG storage and reload, breakbulk and distribution.”

Mr Seah, right, signed the agreement at the Singapore-Indonesia Leaders’ Retreat with PLN director Amir Rosidin, left, and Keppel Singmarine director Chris Ong.
