Peringatan Asadha Diusulkan Jadi Hari Libur Nasional

Komunitas Lintas Agama dan Kepercayaan Pantura (Tali Akrap) yang berbasis di Kudus, mengajukan usul kepada pemerintah pusat untuk menjadikan Hari Asalha (Asadha) sebagai hari libur nasional. Menurut komunitas tersebut Hari Asalha merupakan hari yang penting bagi Agama Buddha.
Moh Rosyid, penggagas komunitas toleransi antar agama tersebut, mengatakan bahwa Asalha merupakan hari yang dirayakan dua bulan setelah Vesak (Waisak), saat pertama kalinya Sri Buddha membabarkan ajaran kepada 5 petapa yaitu Kondanna, Vappa, Bhadiya, Mahanama dan Asaji hingga terbentuklah Sangha untuk pertama kalinya, dan lengkaplah Tiratana.
Hari Asalha 2560 EB diperingati oleh umat Buddhis di Indonesia dan dipusatkan di Candi Borobudur dan Candi Mendut pada Minggu (17/7/2016). Umat Buddhis Theravada di Kudus dari Vihara Dhammadipa di Desa Colo dan Vihara Giri Kusala serta Vihara Narada di Desa Rahtawu juga ikut menghadiri puja bakti massal tersebut.
Dan untuk tahun ini, umat Buddhis khususnya di Kota Kudus yang tergabung dalam komunitas tersebut menjadikan Hari Asalha ini sebagai momen untuk mengusulkan agar hari raya tersebut menjadi hari raya nasional keagamaan.
“Menyikapi usulan ini, pemerintah perlu merespon dengan dijadikannya hari raya fakultatif. Maksudnya, bagi umat Buddha yang bekerja di sektor formal libur kerja. Hal ini sebagaimana Hari Raya Dipawali bagi umat Hindu di Medan dan Hari Galungan bagi umat Hindu di Bali. Meliburkan Hari Raya Asadha hanya bagi umat Buddha sebagai bukti penghormatan pada umat Buddha atas hari rayanya,” kata Rosyid , Senin (18/7/2016) .
Usulan tersebut bukannya tidak memiliki tantangan. Masalahnya, pengajuan hari raya fakultatif adalah wewenang dan kebijakan kepala daerah. Oleh karena itu pola pikir kepala daerah yang menghormati perayaan hari raya agama warganya sangat menentukan.
Menurut Rosyid yang juga merupakan dosen dari Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) Kudus, yang paling penting adalah regenerasi umat Buddha dalam mendalami ajaran agamanya.
Tali Akrap sendiri merupakan sebuah komunitas yang mencoba untuk menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan warga lintas agama. Komunitas yang memiliki visi mewujudkan masyarakat Pantura yang damai, aman dan tingginya kesadaran bertoleransi antar dan internal umat beragama ini berdiri sejak tahun 2013. Selain melakukan dialog bersama, komunitas ini juga kerap melakukan kegiatan lainnya seperti bedah buku dan kemah lintas agama.
