[Bukan dr Piyungan] Foto2 Pak Jokowi Nengok Sapi
Tanggal 6 Desember lalu wartawan Wall Street Journal Matt Murray dkk meliput kunjungan kerja Presiden Jokowi meninjau peternakan SAPI di Sumatera Selatan. Berikut ini liputannya
The Wall Street Journal’s Matt Murray, Patrick McDowell and Ben Otto traveled with Indonesian President Joko Widodo to Palembang, South Sumatra, over the weekend. While there, they visited a cattle farm, chatted on the sidelines of a film festival and stopped for an evening snack of martabak (stuffed pancake) with the president and South Sumatra’s governor. Here’s a glimpse of the trip as it happened.
The world as President Widodo, popularly known as Jokowi, sees it. Crowds of people eager to shake his hands, snap pictures and, if they're lucky, get close enough for a selfie.

Mr. Widodo visted the cattle project in Banyuasin regency, South Sumatra, to speak with farmers and promote another part of his food self self-sufficiency drive: cutting beef imports.

In addition to a crush of farmers and other local residents, Mr. Widodo was joined on his visit by several local officials, including South Sumatra Governor Alex Noerdin (pictured to the left).
4/Flanked by the governor and other officials, #Jokowi takes questions, jokes, makes promises, asks for support:
Eeh, itu panas ya pak, kesian pak Alex Nurdin jadi manyun gituh
5/Folks in this rural area strain to see #Jokowi as he speaks:
Rakyatnya pada heboh kedatengan presiden di kampung yg langka kedatengan tokoh penting, apalagi presiden
The president provided funding for a People's Ranch School project. Around 220 million rupiah ($17,700) went to the local leader to buy cattle and farm support equipment.
Pak JKW nyumbang 220 juta untuk peternakan sekolah rakyat, duitnye buat beli peralatan di peternakan.
7/The crowds surge in a hot day as #Jokowi finishes up
Panaaaas banget Gan di sono, tapi pak Jkw tetep ja nyante
8/Indonesians strain at the site of their president coming out as security clears a path;

9/On the way back to his hotel, pres #Jokowi makes an impromptu stop at a restaurant for a snack
Pulang liat sapi, mampir dulu nikmatin martabak palembang....apa pempek tuh ?
10/In all, a remarkable glimpse at how #Jokowi is using a populist political touch to stoke excitement and support:
Cara yang seru dari pak JKW nyapa rakyat, sentuhan populis yg berguna utk mempertahankan kegembiraan, sekaligus dukungan dr rakyat
