Seperti diberitakan EU mengeluarkan sanksi baru bagi Rusia yaitu dilarang berpergian ke negara2 EU. Sanksi terbaru, EU mem-ban 13 nama baru, jadi total yang sudah di ban bepergian ke negara EU menjadi 61 orang.

Among the individuals banned entry to the EU are the chief prosecutor of Crimea and Internet sensation Natalia Poklonskaya and her colleague from Sevastopol, Igor Shevchenko. Also the list includes influential individuals such as the deputy head of the presidential administration, Vyacheslav Volodin, the Commander of airborne troops Vladimir Shamanov, State Duma deputy Vladimir Pligin, Crimean administration chiefs and six pro-autonomy activists in eastern Ukraine, reported Itar-Tass.


The expanded EU list includes officials involved in Russia’s annexation of Crimea -- such as Vyacheslav Volodin, first deputy chief of staff of Russian President Vladimir Putin; Vladimir Shamanov, commander of the Russian Airborne Troops; Vladimir Pligin, head of the Duma Constitutional Law Committee; and Pyotr Jarosh, acting head of the Federal Migration Service office for Crimea.

It also includes pro-Russian separatist leaders in eastern Ukraine -- such as Viacheslav Ponomaryov, the self-declared mayor of Slovyansk; Igor Mykolaiovych Bezler, head of a separatist militia in Donetsk; and Roman Lyahin, the head of the self-proclaimed “Central Election Commission of the Donetsk People's Republic.”

Seangkan Rusia mendesak agar Ukraina membayar utang gas, dimana kalau utang tidak dibayar maka aliran gas akan diputus. Dan sistem pembayaran harus dimuka, ada uang ada gas. Kalau gas ke ukraina diputus akan berdampak terhadap aliran gas Rusia ke negara2 EU.

If Kiev does not pay its gas bills by June 2, exports to Ukraine will be halted the next day, Gazprom CEO Aleksey Miller said. Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev meanwhile urged demanding advanced payment from Kiev as early as Tuesday.

“In case Ukraine does not pay for the June supplies, Gazprom will notify the Ukrainian side, before 10am on June 3, and the volume of gas will be supplied to Ukraine in accordance with the advanced payment,” Miller said.

He added that if Kiev pays for zero cubic meters of gas, it will receive none.

Currently, as much as 50 percent of Russian gas supplied to Europe passes through Ukraine and around 30 percent of Europe’s energy is imported from Russia, with some EU countries subject to complete dependence on Russian gas.

Ternyata Rusia tidak tinggal diam dengan ancaman EU. Rusia mulai mencari pasar baru untuk menjualkan gas. Rusia bergerak cepat dengan menawarkan gas ke sekutu terdekat Tiongkok. Tiongkok pun merespon baik tawaran Rusia, selain itu Tionkok juga akan mengurangi penggunaan batu bara dengan menggatikannya dengan gas untuk mengurangi polusi udara di Tiongkok. Menurut rencana minggu depan Rusia-Tiongkok akan melakukan penanda tanganan kerjasama gas selama 30 tahun

A historic, long-term deal for the delivery of Russian gas to China that has been 10 years in the making is 98 percent ready, Russia’s Deputy Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky has said. All that’s needed are the two countries’ signatures, he added.

"We hope that the negotiations will be completed as scheduled," Reuters quoted Yanovsky as saying.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is due in the Chinese capital next week where the nations are widely expected to sign the deal. The contract’s been in the making for the last 10 years and in March 2013 resulted in signing of a delivery memorandum between Russia’s Gazprom and China’s CNPC. The terms of the pipeline delivery contract outline Russia’s intention to supply China with 38 billion cubic meters of gas per annum for 30 years, starting in 2018.
