I don't know if this kind of thread already exist or not, really could not be bothered looking through loads of pages here. But I'm gonna write it anyways.

This is based on my experience and from most people who study english (well enough to give them enough confidence to start writing).

I was in college last year and for most of you know Senior Year is where you should be stressed about 'Skripsi". I was a Computer Science student and to be frankly, I was the only one who wrote and presented my "Skripsi" in english back then.

Most of you might not realize this, but, we have so much words and synonyms in English. Hell we can always play with rhymes.

I was planning to write my paper in both English & Indonesian, but then...

The Indonesian version got me stuck.

So for you, who is struggling through Skripsi or having a passion in writing, read more english books then start to write. Absorbs the beautiful phrase and put it in your writing (just don't put a legit paragraph to it). To be honest, my writing is much more "alive" in English.

You know what other language make you struggle in writing? Japanese & Korean. Japanese doesn't have a lot of original words (although English adapt Karaoke & Tsunami), and Korean, do you know how much level of speaking you have in Korea? There's formal, informal, boss-talking, co-workers-talking, and yes they do have sub-ordinate-talking. Imagine putting that to your writing, tough call.
