Baku. Rashad Suleymanov, Shamil Alibeyli – APA. Russia has delivered a large batch of Mi-35M helicopters ordered by Azerbaijan in accordance with the schedule, “Rosoboronexport” company told APA at Dubai Airshow 2013 last week.

Currently, other helicopters are being produced and tested. Next batch of helicopters will be delivered to Azerbaijan soon.


“Azerbaijan is one of our biggest customers in the region, also one of the largest users of Russian aviation techniques,” said the company.


Russia also exports Mi-17V1 helicopters to Azerbaijan.


Azerbaijan ordered 24 Mi-35M attack helicopters and 60 Mi-17 military transport helicopters from Russia.
