New Delhi hosted a parade marking the 65th anniversary of India’s National Army on January 15.


The parade involved the personnel of various military units, including artillery units.


Parade participants displayed their skills and combat capabilities.


Indian military personnel also honored the memory of those who gave their lives for the country.


On January 15, 1948, Lt. Gen. Kodandera "Kipper" Madappa Cariappa became the first Indian commander in chief, succeeding British Lt. Gen. Sir Roy Bucher.
