Chow Yun Fat, Huang Xiaoming, Sammo Hung Kam Bo, Francis Ng Chun Yu starred film THE LAST TYCOON (DAI SEUNG HOI) will be released this Christmas. The film trailer has been unveiled. In it two generations of "Hui Man Keung" Chow Yun Fat and Huang Xiaoming play time and space mix up as the shot suddenly went from Huang Xiaoming to Chow Yun Fat and their identities became confusing. Huang Xiaoming said, "I watched this trailer online too. I am already very honored to be able to work with my idol Fat Gor, I never thought that this time I was even able to 'turn into Fat Gor in a second'. The feeling is super great! I look forward to the film being able to bring even more surprises to everyone!" However, director Wong Jing last night clarified online that the trailer was not the completed version. Even the music was wrong. The official version will be released on August 3.
Actor Chow Yun-fat says he is looking forward to ending the year in style with his film "The Last Tycoon" releasing in December.

Chow told media recently while celebrating the conclusion of filming, "This year-end is going to be a wonderful movie-going season." The season will host Jackie Chan's "CZ12", Stephen Chow's "New Chinese Odyssey", and Wong Kar-wai's "The Grandmasters".

Chow explained, "because of them, in addition to my film, the box-office derby will be very exciting."

"The Last Tycoon", directed by Wong Jing and produced by Andrew Lau, is inspired by the real-life story of a gang leader who built his empire through the 1920s and 30s in Shanghai.

Chow Yun-fat plays the lead character, alongside Sammo Hung, Francis Ng, Huang Xiaoming and Yuan Quan.

A selling point for the film has largely been the cooperation between Chow Yun-fat and Huang Xiaoming. Chow made his name in 1980 for his role in the hit TV series "The Bund", and Huang took over the role in a 2007 remake.

Another big production, the Tony Leung Chiu Wai starred, Wong Kar Wai directed THE GRANDMASTERS (YUT DOI JUNG SI) will be released in December and directly confront THE LAST TYCOON.
