Profile
The first Czech rider to compete in the premier class, Karel Abraham is one of two rookies in MotoGP in 2011 as he joins Cal Crutchlow in the elite category of the World Championship. The Cardion ab Motoracing rider will be on board a Desmosedici machine as he attempts to make an impact at the highest level of the World Championship, having ridden at every level on his way up.
Abraham will be entering his seventh season in the World Championship after competing in the 125cc, 250cc and last year the Moto2 classes. 2010 was his best season to date as he developed well in the new Moto2 category, scoring a first career podium at Motegi and then a maiden win in the final round at Valencia to announce his imminent arrival in MotoGP.
