How to prepare glazing [u]oil [/u]
Self-preparation of glazing [u]oil [/u]is very interesting and practical for [u]oil painters[/u]. Simple and effective methods are as follows: https://painting-portrait.com
Dama or other solid resin is crushed and ground into a fine powder and put into a gauze stitched pocket or nylon stockings. A wide glass container is filled with refined turpentine, and the pocket containing resin powder is suspended in the turpentine in the glass container. In this way, the resin will gradually dissolve into the turpentine, and the impurities will be filtered out by the gauze bag. In order to prevent the volatilization of turpentine and the invasion of dust, the container should be tightly covered. The container should be large enough to fit in the pocket so that the resin powder in the pocket is completely immersed in the solution without the pocket touching the bottom of the container.
