Ambassador of the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) 2021, Boaz Solossa hopes that the 2021 PON XX Papua will be successful. The national footballer said he would participate in the success of the Indonesian sports party.

“For me personally, I really hope that PON XX Papua will be successful. We (Papua) as hosts will show that we are good hosts," said Boaz in an event entitled "Support your contingent at Pon XX Papua" on the Youtube account FMB9ID_IKP, Tuesday (3/8/2021).

The legend of Persipura Jayapura explains that Papua will be a place that can be remembered by the athletes who compete. Representing the Papuan people, Boaz has a mission to provide the best for athletes from contingents throughout Indonesia who come to Papua.

“All the efforts made by the government (Papua) can be a sweet memory for the contingent of athletes competing. That, we as hosts will give our best," said Boaz.

“They (the athlete contingent) will be guaranteed to feel comfortable, relaxed and don't think they are afraid to come to Papua. Most importantly, the contingent will go home with a good impression," he added.

As is known, Papua is the province that was chosen to host the XX PON. Unfortunately, the event was delayed for a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, it is stated that PON XX Papua will continue as planned on October 2-16, 2021. This has been confirmed by the Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports, Zainudin Amali some time ago.

"Mr. President on March 15 last at a limited meeting reiterated that the 20th Papua PON will still be held in October," said Zainudin some time ago.

In addition, there are 37 sports (sports) that are competed in PON XX Papua. Therefore, Boaz, who has been appointed as the XX Papua PON Ambassador, will certainly take part as the successor of the biggest sports event in Indonesia.
