China's RSES-1000 reflected radar signal simulator made its first public appearance at the World Radar Exhibition in Beijing between Oct. 16-18, reports the Party-run Global Times.

The RSES-1000, designed by RACO Electronic Information Technology, is able to generate radar signals reflected from stealth aircraft such as the US Air Force F-22 Raptor. It would improve survival rates for PLA Army ground forces in the event of an US air strike.

The radar system can also be used by the PLA in military exercises or simply to test its own aircraft.

Supported by the General Equipment Department of the PLA, the biannual World Radar Exhibition showcases China's radar technology to the world.
