Telling fictional stories in 1790 and 1805 when part of the Indian continent was known as Hindustan. Indian Bandits, known as Thugs, became a serious challenge for the British East India Company which had controlled most of India.The film Thugs of Hindostan follows a group of Indian Thugs or Bandits led by a man named Khudabaksh Azaad (Amitabh Bachchan) who pose a serious threat to the power of the Company in India because Khudabaksh Azaad aspires to liberate the Indian state from Britain. Feeling worried about Indian Bandits, a British commander named John Clive (Lloyd Owen) sent a man named Firangi Mallah (Aamir Khan) who was a small thug from Awadh. Firangi Mallah was asked to infiltrate and fight the threat.
