we often heard some Indonesian public figures speak english on some occasions...
what do you think of the accent???
fluent?average?keminggris?or medok(I really don't know how to call it)?
I bet most of our people goes naturally with the medok version.....
some people may think that it seems kampungan/lowlife english...
but in my opinion our typical english accent are the easiest to hear/audible...
among any other nations...
I got native japanese asking me question I misunderstood...
the question should sounds like "What is your weakness?"
but I misheard it as "What is your witness?"
.....
It made me realize that our typical english accent aren't so bad...
In fact is is better than some other nations...
at least in terms of audibility..
actually Dutch people got nearly the same english accent...
Robin van Persie on his latest TVC surprisingly speak english that sounds like our accent...
so I am not gonna blame president SBY....
there's nothing to be ashamed of...
