Apple Inc Obtains License For Official Store In Indonesia



JAKARTA: Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) has granted investment license to Apple Inc to establish its official store in Indonesia in 2013.

Head of BKP Chatib Basri stated the US-based gadget company filed a request for investment license and it has been approved.

“Apple’s license only covers distributor and store or online shop, excluding the plant since it’s handled by other company namely Foxconn,” he said in press conference concerning the 2012 investment, Tuesday (1/22/2013).

In Asia, the Company’s official stores are only located in Shanghai-China, Tokyo-Japan, and Hong Kong. Therefore, Jakarta will become the fourth city in Asia that has an official Apple store.
